Falling for Fall: Harvest or Halloween?

Harvest! I love Halloween so much but harvest is a more classic choice. Then I don’t have to look back on my photos wondering what I was thinking using skeletons in our decor 😂

Both? Halloween is one of my favorite holidays but I wouldnt want a creepy wedding - it would be more gothic/medieval (which is what we are doing - just Christmas medieval) castle-y with jack-o-lanterns and playing up the traditional fall harvest foods (cause food is the most important for us!) I love Victorian era stuff too so maybe steampunky or a Elizabethan/Edwardian masquerade.

This is difficult to choose because I wouldn’t want my wedding to seem rustic with hay but I also don’t think I would want my wedding to be Halloween either even though I adore it. I would choose harvest over All Hallows’ Eve!

I would pick harvest, but even with my wedding being in the fall I'm incorporating neither.

I'm the same way! I would want to incorporate parts of both into it, but probably not the hay!

Harvest looks much more elegant and pretty. Halloween themed makes me think of a kids party.

I love Halloween but not for my wedding theme. I'd pick harvest because it still fits the fall theme. Plus fall is the start of the cozy season

Thank you! Our venue is a reproduction castle that looks just like Hogwarts' Great Hall. We will have floating candles (above the space) and ornament favors (that will also be escort cards) and lighted trees.

If I had to pick it would definitely be Halloween.

I’m not really a fan of either..I’d choose the Halloween 1st, but then I’d never hear the end of it from my mom’s side lol their religious

I would for sure choose harvest, but if it were up to my mom it would be Halloween without doubt!

Harvest. Halloween themed wedding is just not for me.

Halloween. My mom got married on Halloween and the wedding party all wore handmade fairy wings and it was so beautiful and so much fun.

Harvest despite Halloween being my favorite holiday. I guess I feel it's not meant for weddings and downplays them and makes them more hokey.

Harvest just seems a bit more appropriate than a Halloween theme, for a wedding.
