Falling behind

LAQUITA , on November 20, 2019 at 11:59 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
I feel like I'm losing my mind right now I have 5 1/2 months before my wedding day. Everything has been going wrong. Financially I have already signed contracts and it like money just ran out. Then I have to move because the city say it's not safe due to the mold here. What can a girl due to make this one day special.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. My FH has been on me about that since we started planning our wedding; as we did not hire a wedding planner and have done everything on our own up to this point. When I get overwhelmed with the wedding planning I take a step back from it for a couple of weeks. As far as finances go, that can be the hardest part, especially if you are paying for the entire wedding on your own as my FH and I are. We both have savings accounts on our own that we've had since before we got together, and we now have one together. We've used some of our savings but have tried our hardest not to pull from them because we are in the beginning stages of buying a house. We created a new budget while we are working on and paying for the wedding and we've cut out unnecessary spending.

Personally, I would say take a step back for a little while. Whether that be a few days or a few weeks. Take time for yourself and do things that relax you. If finances are a larger issue now that you have to move, I'd say look into DIY-ing aspects of your wedding to save money. You can still have the wedding of your dreams even if you're on a tight budget.

The financial aspect of wedding planning often makes me feel overwhelmed too. I just keep at budgeting and trying my hardest to make smart decisions not emotional ones - which is harder than it sounds when it comes to wedding planning.

I understand this year has been really bad for me so far. I buried my child and haven't been able to get back on track
