Fall Mix-matched Bridesmaid Dresses

Rachel, on December 1, 2021 at 1:14 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Hi everyone!

I currently have way more Azazie color swatches than any 1 person should ever have... Ha. The issue is that I cannot for the life of me decide on 6 colors for my 6 bridesmaids. We have a rustic fall burnt orange vibe for the wedding. I really love the olive but feel like it'll stand out too much without a lighter green? But anything lighter is then TOO light. It's super hard finding that perfect balanced look with 6 dresses to account for. And when done right, I LOVE and want the mix matched look... But definitely don't want the awkward 1 color bad choice that sticks out too much... If that makes any sense. Here is a whole folder full of my indecisiveness lol.

Anywho, I wanted to ask for all of your lovely ladies opinions to see what you think! Any and all thoughts, comments, concerns or suggestions would be greatly appreciated 💜

Sorry I guess my link to the my album full of options isn't working. But here's 2 lineups that I kind of like.

I much prefer the first line up. That being said, I think the olive looks good with the other colors. The color I think stands out as odd is the light blue (or it looks light blue in the photo, anyway). It looks more like a spring color, to me. Have you considered a darker shade of blue? I had a fall wedding and we did burnt orange and navy.

Its supposed to be "fog" but I think the gray is definitely on the light blue side. I honestly hadn't thought about dark blue because I thought it'd clash with the olive, but I'm going to try swapping that in to give it a try! Thank you!

Okay and then since it wouldn't let me show the album, here are 3 other contender line ups (I evidently did have a sorta blue in there!) Sorry if this seems kind of crazy I just really wanna make sure everything balances out as best as possible. Thank you everyone for your input!!💜

I like the bottom one the best although the orangey toned ones would have to be spot on. I don't think a pink-y tone would look as good with the oranges. You could do a navy blue instead of the one with the pink IF it clashes. I realize these are photos and might look different in real life. Another consideration is to make sure those colours look good on whichever bridesmaid you decide to put it them. Me, as a fair blonde, looks horrible in the orange tones and even the deep yellow.

I did mismatched for my October wedding this year! Only had 3 bridesmaids which made it simpler but I kept the three all in one color family (rust, wine, pink). Fall Mix-matched Bridesmaid Dresses 6

My friend did mismatched fall colors for her wedding this October. Similar to others I think a dark blue would work well. I love option 5. The colors work well together.

Here are the colors my friend had. Fall Mix-matched Bridesmaid Dresses 7

What if you omitted the green dresses and just had the shades of oranges... and instead featured the green in your bouquets?

If you’re committed to sticking with Olive green, I’d go with OPTION 1. With the fog gray-blue color, it’s interesting but it depends on how it lines up with decorations & you and your partner’s venue.

But if you’re more into BOLD FALL colors, I’d go with Option 5.
