What about pies or even mini cupcakes? You also could prepackage something like smores!

You could do something like cheesecake, or tiramisu, or ice cream, or brownies, or some sort of specialty cookie, etc.

A couple other ideas for you: mini apple pies (or pumpkin pies or cherry pies) that you can make using a cupcake or muffin tin! Or if you end up doing brownies, you could put a caramel topping on them for fall. Or, you could do caramel apples.

Not everyone is a fan of donuts. Have some pies/cobblers, bars, brownies, cookies, etc. Do a search on Pinterest for fall desserts and see what your baker/caterer is able to fix. I would make sure you have enough of each dessert for everyone to get a serving. Because it’s not fun or good hosting when someone says “the caramel apple crisp is amazing so make sure you get some!” and there’s only enough for 1/4 of the guests.


If you are skipping the cake, then it doesn’t make sense to serve cupcakes either because they are the same thing. A sliced cake is way easier to eat and less messy too.

I like the pie idea, or you could do a warm apple crisp. My favorite fall dessert!

I think mini pies or cookies that are individually wrapped would be a really cute idea!
