Hey all! I wanted to get your opinion on fake vs real flowers for the ceremony and reception. My mother keeps saying do real because fake looks “cheap” but my budget would be a lot happier doing fake. I was planning on ordering silk flowers from those online rental bouquet sites, having the bridesmaids use them for the ceremony and then having them drop them off into the mason jars on the tables and they instantly become part of the centerpieces. Thought it would be a eco friendly and smart way to save money. For the silk flowers it was about $300 for everything we needed, and real was upwards of 1,000. Do people really care about the flowers at the tables? Let me know what y’all did for your weddings? My theme is rustic chic in a barn with string lights, if it helps!

Thanks! Lings moments is a brand of flowers. They have foam flowers that look great in person and photos. You can get them through their website or Amazon.

I love that the SBB bouquets are so photogenic. I had to get the sample to confirm lol. That, and the 50% cost savings are why we are likely going to go with them. Also, we found that the SBB bouquets fit best in a tall cylinder vase with heavy bottom/base. Mine were 6 inch tall skinny glass vases. Good luck!

May I ask what you are using for centerpieces? I’ve been going back and forth with ideas and, honestly, Pinterest isn’t helping! 🤪

We’re between doing candles or doing a hockey puck thing I found on Pinterest. I know, completely different from one another lol. Our table numbers and names are going to be New York Ranger players (his favorite hockey team), so I think we’re going to end up doing the hockey puck idea lol

Doing fake flowers for everything except my bouquet which I'm going to dry and preserve later! Hobby lobby is the best!

Both can be beautiful! While real flowers are gorgeous, they do have a timeline. Fake allows for DIY ahead of time, and while some look VERY FAKE, others look very lifelike. It also allows you to put your bouquet into a vase and decorate your home for years to come with a reminder of a lovely day Smiley smile
