Absolutely! The only way I'd wear real jewelry is if I already owned the stuff I wanted to wear, or someone gifted it to me before then. No way I'd go buy real stuff for one day and some photos!!

All mine came from Amazon. I wore real pearls because they were my great grandmother's. No need in spending an arm and a leg on jewelry.

Unless you plan to wear it often, I think it's totally ok to go with costume/fake jewelry. I love accessorizing with trendy, statement pieces but would never invest in real gold/jewels because I know that I probably won't wear them for more than a few seasons. Just make sure you're not allergic to anything before the wedding as some stuff can cause reactions.

I think costume is fine, BUT as pp aluded to, make certain none of your BMs are allergic to anything (esp pierced earrings). Some people are very nervous about wearing earrings not made of real gold (the post part).

I would also add, if this is what they are to wear for the wedding, imho, it does not count as a gift. Slightly OT, but for gifts, you have to know your girls, Some may wear costume jewelry, some may not.

I think that's perfectly fine! I wouldn't want to spend too much on jewelry when there might be a possibility of them never wearing it again.

I think fake is fine, but be extra careful with earrings. If I was one of your bridesmaids and you gave me costume earrings, I couldn't wear them! I have sensitive ears and "fake" earrings HURT after just a short while. However, surgical steel is a great option. I buy them on Amazon with cubic zirconia for diamond-look studs. I'm sure you can find other things like pearl too, if you go that route. I've found that sometimes it's difficult to find earrings searching "surgical steel earrings", but I usually get many, many options if I search "316L earrings", which is the same. I recently bought a pack of five pairs of 316L cubic zirconia earrings for $10 on Amazon, and I know there are many deals to be had!
