Facials?

K + B, on January 14, 2014 at 12:43 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Is anyone planning to get regular facials prior to the wedding in preparation for the big day? I'm thinking about doing so. I have acne prone skin esp when I stress out so I was thinking of getting facials before the wedding. I'm just not sure how often I should go and how many times I should go. Any advice would be much appreciated!

If you do... Dont go within 2 days, skin redness can take time to clear up if it occurs.

Thank you, Pezzy. I almost forgot that my skin can get sensitive and get red marks if I'm not careful.

I am definitely not planning on that. I am very paranoid about people touching my skin. And I would hate to break out in reaction to something before my wedding.

I've definitely thought about it, but I'd rather not spend money on it. Clinique makes some great facial masks and peels that are around $40 and work on my sensitive skin...That's 10 facials for the price of one! Good luck with whatever you decide!

Is it bad that when I saw the post title I thought of a very different kind of 'facial' ?

I'd say try it out now and see how it goes. I've had a few facials and everytime my face breaks out and I hate it. There's very little benefit for me because of it so I just take really good care of my face at home.

Not doing that. I bought a clarisonic and a tube of Retin A. That's my skincare regimen. Pores are shrinking and starting to look good in my 15x magnify mirror! Facials are iffy for me...and results don't last so that's my solution and I am sticking to it lol!

If you are considering it, I would go ahead and go now and see how your skin reacts to it.

I went about once a month for 5 or 6 months before the wedding. I found a spa that was so super relaxing, and used gentle products.

I've gotten facials in the past with no issue, but I didn't want to take a chance before the wedding. A reaction would totally be my luck.

Honestly, maybe it's just me, but I tend to break out after facials. So, I rarely do them. To answer your question, no, I won't be doing facials. I'll do some light, natural tanning with sunscreen, but no facials.

I have started getting regular facials back in June (I have acne prone and sensitive skin), June till Dec I got a facial every other month, and starting in January I am getting them once a month. I know it's a lot, but I want to make that my skin looks its best on the wedding day. All I know is that my skin has gotten better since starting to get the facials, it's going to be really hard to go back every six months after the wedding.
