Facebook Live Due to covid

Edie, on March 30, 2020 at 8:40 PM Posted in Planning 1 5
We are thinking of using Facebook Live for our April 25 wedding because of COVID. It is important to us to keep the date. It was intended to be a relatively small (100 max) park wedding from the start. 25 say they're still coming, but that could still change over the next 26 days. It may end up being just us and the kids by the time all is said and done and that's fine, too. We have a lot of friends out of state that can't make it now due to lockdowns and this seems like a viable way to keep them involved, as well as those that choose not to come. We understand that everyone has to do what's right for them. So ... Has anyone done gone live? How was it? Any tips or advice?

Are you fine with every single person you’re friends with on Facebook witnessing your ceremony? If not, maybe you could look into another streaming service.

Any recommendations? I don't know anything about this and don't even know where to start. But, to answer your question, I can't think of anyone on my friend list that I'd want to keep away. I'm pretty particular about who I add.

My personal issue with facebook live is the quality in which the video sometimes appears. Sometimes it’s very blurry and out of focus due to the internet connection. Someone on my Facebook list did that but she mentioned in her post that she made a private Facebook live. I don’t know how she did it but you can play around with the settings to see. I personally would have one guest stream on Facebook live for me and another through Zoom (Zoom lets you record the meetings). Have multiple ways of streaming the ceremony Is what I’m trying to say lol.

Zoom. That's an idea. We use that at work. I'll check it out.
