Face waxing...

MrsMitchell, on February 12, 2018 at 11:18 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
I don’t have a lot of face hair, and what I do have is blonde, but I notice the fuzzys when I wear makeup and I noticed it with my makeup trial and it just bothered me more than I thought it would.

I got a spa spa package from my girls for my bacherelette party and I get to choose what I want.

So so far I’ve chosen, a massage, facial, and a manicure.

Now I’m debating adding a full face wax to it, but I don’t know how long before the wedding I need to do it. Or if I should.

Wedding is in 2 weeks so no time for a trial!

So my questions are

1.) is it worth it?
2.) how long does it last
3.) how many days before the day should I do get it done?

I do not have to have these things done on the same day, I get to make appointments.

Ooh, I feel you on irritating peach fuzz. I inherited more than I’d prefer from my dad’s side of the family. I’ve never done a full face wax, but I’ve had my eyebrows done, and used to get my lip done and now do it myself. I have never had a bad reaction (except the time I took some of my skin off when I hadn’t been warned that my acne meds would make my skin that fragile), but I tend to wax at least a day or two before whatever event I need it done for. It usually lasts pretty well for a week or two, and I usually tweeze any random hairs that pop up and bother me in the meantime. I much prefer waxing to tweezing or threading all of it, because it all comes off quickly and doesn’t drag out the pain. I hope this is somewhat helpful for you.

That’s perfect, thank you! I was just worried about it being a bad idea to do without a trial first, as I’ve seen a lot of posts about other waxes and to make sure to do a trial first. (Bikini/Brazillion being the main one)

What type of wax do you use on yourself? I got some Moom wax, but I either did it wrong or it doesn’t work well (I tried doing my legs, well had FH try doing my legs. Hurt something awful but no hair came off 😂)

Honestly I have super sensitive skin. I would be scared to go for the first time so close to your date. If you're going to do it I would go sooner rather than later in the event that you have a bad reaction! I would probably opt to shave it this close if you aren't a regular waxer!

I would be terrified to try it. If you have a bad reaction there’s not much time to fix it. I also suffer from lady facial hair. I use an electric razor thing made for female facial hair. I purchased it at Walmart and it works well with no chance of cutting yourself

I have horrible horrible reactions to waxing. Don’t try it so close to your date! Just shave it. I use a regular razor on my fuzz, and just be careful & it’s totally fine.

I have the older version of this. I have had it for years and it is still kicking. I use it a few times a week due to my lady stache and have never had issues

Dermaplaning. I wouldn't suggest a full face wax if you haven't had one before. Esp with the wedding 2 weeks away. Waxing can cause redness and irritation. Dermaplaning uses a medical grade scalpel to remove the peach fuzz. It's performed by an esthetician.
