Fabric, Draping, Swagging? What?

bb2017, on October 23, 2016 at 11:50 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

My reception venue is in a ballroom with dividers that will be opened to accommodated our wedding, when folded back they still stick out of the wall quite a bit.

I am wondering how we cover that up. I've heard of using fabric to drape the walls but I am kind of confused how this would all work. I don't plan on covering all of the walls (or should I?), the ones without the dividers on them are really nice and don't need to be covered.

If you have examples of fabric on the walls at your venue, I'd love to see them to get a better idea. Or if you have a good way to cover up the dividers, I'd love to hear it!

Oh that's gorgeous! Do you think it would look ok in just two places in the room? or would it look like "oh, they must be hiding something behind that"?

Maybe have the drapes in those two places like MyBBlife pictured and then have a nice framed picture of your & your FH in display in front of it?

@Bailey that just gave me an idea, we could put the cake table or sweetheart table or dj in front of the those places that way it is more of a focal point?

@robin yes but with the divider splitting the room because they had an event that day. ETA the wall to right splits in half and folds toward either side of the room

Some of those folding walls have a little door that covers it when it is folded.

Not my wedding but at the same venue. You can see on the right hand side where they use draping to divide the room.
