Fabric draping for arch

We are planning an arch kind of like this. It iist dawned on me, what's the easy way to do fabric? Curtain panels! IKEA has 2 pack 57" wide 98" long for $13. Anyone see why this wouldn't work? I can't get flowy fabric hemmed for $2.39 a yard, and one less thing for me to do!

That's actually pretty genius! I was trying to think of where to get cheap flowy looking fabric for a photo backdrop, and never once did curtains cross my mind.

I plan on just going to Walmart rather than Joann's for fabric for the draping. Joann's is pricier. But this is a good idea. I would just make sure the material isn't too stiff. Curtains versus soft drapery seems different textures in my mind.
