Extra bouquet for bridesmaid who passed away

One of my best friends passed away last week. She would have been in my bridal party. Her parents will be invited to the wedding. Would it be okay to have a bridesmaid hold two bouquets at the wedding and then give what would have been hers to her parents?

I am so sorry. I think an extra bouquet is such a lovely idea.

Sorry for your loss. I would do something privately or as previously said have the bouquet at a memory table

I think it is a very sweet idea though I think it would make the ceremony depressing. I think giving it to her family in private is a better way to go about it. Her parents may feel uncomfortable if you do a public display.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I agree with PP's about either having it on a memorial table or giving to her parents, in private.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Because your wedding is still far out, I wouldn't do the 2 bouquets, but a memorial table with the bouquet or corsage and bout for her parents would be nice. You also have plenty of time to decide this, and honestly I would wait a little while.

I don't mean this to diminish your loss or her importance at all, but the way you want to recognize her memory now, so soon after, and the way that you want to recognize her memory in a year might be two very different things. Definitely recognize her somehow, but give it some time to decide exactly how you'd like to do that.

I'm so sorry for your loss, this has got to be so tough.

There have been some great ideas on how to recognize her - I love the memorial table, or bouquet charm, and you could give a corsage and boutonniere to her parents to wear
