Extended shelter-in-place = nowhere to get a marriage license :(

Is it okay to have a ceremony anyway and just wait until the offices open up again to get the license?

We are in some unplanned time, so I don't see why not. Just have to make sure your officiant signs it.

You could but it wouldn't be a legal ceremony without the license. If you want to do something ceremonial that day though, I see no reason why you couldn't.

Well, if you don't have your marriage license yet, the officiant will have nothing to sign... You can have a ceremony, but without the marriage license it won't be legally valid. I would think you would need to go to the courthouse once it opens back up and do some sort of ceremony again where an officiant can sign-off on the license.
