It's an app/website that helps with finding vendors for your wedding needs. Basiclaly, it gets your details for the event and sends out a quote request to vendors who fit the criteria, i.e. location, willingness to travel, etc. I have a live musician that I am ready to book with and a photographer that I will soon be booking.

This is just my first time using them, and thr reviews I could find online We're mostly from the vendors, quoting issues with excessive leads that go nowhere and a few issues with receiving their payment.

As I understand it, we pay the deposit specified by the vendor, and the balance, when due a few days before the event. Gig Salad says in the "unlikely" event of a vendor cancelling or not showing, the site will work to find a replacement or full refund of monies. I'm hoping that will be as smooth (and unnecessary) as they lay it out in their terms.

I have booked a cello player for the ceremony via Gig Salad.

Likes: Affordable, I have quotes from several musicians that were priced quite well. I have already paid it ALL - I don't need to worry about having an envelope for her the day of. She got paid $50 or $100 to secure the date and will get the balance after the event.

Dislikes: She's not stellar about responding to contact, if I don't hear back from her soon then I may contact Gig Salad and see what they say.

Thank you Courtney, for your feedback. I did think I got some great/competitive pricing through the site. I have selected a violinist, though I have not booked him yet. He's been great woth communication, but he wants the entire balance paid in full as the deposit. So, it's just a big commitment for me. I just wanted to feel more of a guarantee before completing the booking.Smiley ring Happy Engagement!
