Excitement!

Me and my fh sat down today for hours and mapped out virtually our whole wedding!!! This makes me happy for a lot of reasons.
1. My fh has been married before but they didn't have a regular wedding. They got married in their pastors living room like less than a month after he proposed. (She was pregnant with their second child and although he wasn't in love, he felt obligated to marry for the kids). So with that being said, he was granted joint custody of the kids in the divorce and his job is very demanding and time consuming so we have to scrape days when we have alone time.
2. Because of reason 1, I figured most things would be determined by me. But the hard part of that is my fh isn't the typical "I follow anything you plan because it's your wedding". He is more of "I never had a wedding so I want a say in things and I want this to be perfect because this is my last time doing this". I have no problem with that at all but with time constraints I didn't see how it would be possible to have the time to discuss things.
3. I feel like time is wasting away. We took a 4 month break from planning and held off the wedding because of personal reasons so now that we are back on, I feel we need to act fast so we are not rushing at the last minute and I felt like my fh didn't see my point when I kept bringing that up. He said I was overreacting.

But today was his off day at work and now that the kids are back in school, it gave us uninterrupted time to enjoy each other and plan our wedding. I now feel like things are going to fall right in place. And the biggest thing is we have been using wedding wire's budget tool and based off of vendors we called today and quotes we got, we are coming out well under budget for a 200ppl wedding!!!! I am super excited now!!!!
