Excellence Resorts-Playas Mujeres or Punta Cana

I have no personal feedback but Mexico is always on and off the "don't travel to" list and right now I really feel like it's not neccessarily a safe place to go.

I didn't vacation at the Playa Mujeres location but I did vacation at the Excellence Riviera Cancun location back in June which is an hour or 2 south of playa mujeres. The service was incredible, food was delicious and every night there are different shows and activities throughout the day in case you don't want to go off of the resort. I know that it is the same at the playa mujeres location because on one of our excursions, we traveled with a couple from Excellence Playa Mujeres and we were talking about how they had the same restaurants, amenities, etc.

I just went to Mexico for my wedding and honey moon to Tulum and los Cabos I never felt in danger just gotta is common sense

Personally I've been to Mexico during a time when there was a travel advisory and you are not neccessarily unsafe but I just don't know if I'd jeopardize it for a honeymoon. Honestly all these horror stories about bacherlotte parties there lately are pretty scary.

H and I went to Excellence El Carmen (the newer of the two excellence resorts located in Punta Cana) and we had so much fun! There were so many restaurant choices that we were sad we didn't get to eat at all of them. The food was pretty good and the service was also amazing. H isn't a lounge on the beach all day type of guy, so we did two excursions while we were there. There were plenty of activities to choose from.

I was just at Excellence Playa mujeres a week ago for my honeymoon!!! I can't tell you enough- IT IS AMAZING!!!! We have already decided to book again for our anniversary next year. It is pure heaven. Everything is top notch- the food, service, landscaping, entertainment, absolutely everything. I follow all the fb pages for the Excellence resorts and the majority opinion is that Playa Mujeres is the best of them all. Look up the page "we love Excellence Playa mujeres" on fb. It's a fan page with tons of tips and info.

While we were there we took a catamaran ride to Isla Mujeres and went snorkeling on a coral reef.

The place is so amazing. So amazing.

We loved Secrets at Playa Mujeres, if you go that area, take the excursion to the Isla de Mujeres. The beach and water were amazing!
