Evites vs. Physical invitations

I got an evite for a wedding last year.

the one thing is you see who else is invited aha if you don't mind that, that's fine.

I used evites for a Retirement party, it went well because everyone was electronic friendly. But for our wedding, I'm going (much) less expensive invitations with RSVP optional via website.

We just sent out our evites for our wedding last week. We used paperless post flyers, and are really happy with them so far. We disabled the option for guests to see who else is attending because we thought that was a bit odd. We started getting our RSVPs within minutes which is nice. They are also free for the first 50 invitations, so we didn't spend anything on our invitations. Our wedding is not formal though, so I get that for a more formal wedding some people may not like them.

Due to COVID, I didn't do evites through email, but I did make a Facebook group to keep people updated because we were holding off on invitations and didn't sent save the dates. Then, once it was announced that we could have weddings, I posted our link to RSVP online and told everyone that they could RSVP now and that invitations would be out soon. I got a really good amount of people who RSVPd before the invitations got to them, which was great. As far as the invitations, we only offered our website or my phone number as a way to RSVP. We had good luck with the online RSVPs with the exception of some older family members, which was expected, but they just called or told us in person.
