Ever forget your engagement/wedding ring at home?

I feel so naked today. (Hope I'm allowed to say that.) I accidentally left my engagement ring at home. It's only been an hour, and I've checked my hand at least 6 times for it already. Luckily FH hadn't left for work yet, so I was able to call him to confirm that it's sitting in the ring dish where I always leave it, or else I'd be freaking out that I accidentally dropped it, or that my dogs were going to eat it or something.

Has anyone else ever accidentally left their ring(s) at home or somewhere else? I hope it all turned out OK if you did. Do you have a certain place or places where you leave your ring(s) when you take it/them off?

I forget mine all the time. So much that as I leave the house with my husband he always asks do you have your ring on. He's sick of turning around to go back for it. Lol. I don't normally wear it around the house much because I don't want to damage it. It's when I change my getting ready routine that I forget it.

I recently lost 65lbs and had to stop wearing mine due to it not fitting and falling right off... even with safe guards on... it is being sized before the wedding but i am so scared once i can wear it i will forget it all the time... and i miss wearing it like crazy.

I wear a rubber active band for now. It looks like i am married now but i dont care. Atleast i get to wear something.

Yes! We’ve been engaged a couple of months and it’s happened twice I think. I take mine off to sleep, shower, clean, and cook because the jeweler warned me about the soft qualities of rose gold. I always know right where it is, but sometimes I forget to put it back on. And you’re totally right. I feel completely naked.

Yesterday I was grabbing last minute wedding stuff from stores, I took my ring off in the car to put some lotion on my hands, grabbed all my stuff and headed into Target. When I got back to the truck and opened the door, my ring was sitting on the seat...I forgot to put it back on after applying lotion and I get married tomorrow! That could have been a tragedy. So leaving it on at all times. Last time I took it off to put on lotion, I put it on the top of my Yeti in the cup holder and it fell in 😩

I always take my ring off to clean, when I go to the gym, or when I’m showering. I have a ring dish in every bathroom plus our bedroom, and in the kitchen by the sink (all were engagement gifts!) and I will only put my ring in one of those dishes. It definitely feels weird when I don’t have it on but I feel so much better knowing it’s in a safe, dedicated spot. I try not to take my ring off outside of the house, but if I absolutely must than I also keep the ring box in my handbag.

I forget my ring so much that I’ve put a ring on my keys in case I forget. It’s not the same but it keeps me from freaking out, since I spin my ring when I’m talking.
