Eucalyptus Garland

Lauren, on January 17, 2017 at 10:08 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

I've decided that this is how I want to decorate my 8' farm tables on the reception. I'm just getting started on my more detailed research.

Has anyone done this? Do you have advice? How can I make this happen affordable? Helpful tips?

Are you hoping to DIY? Depending on how many tables you want to do, that can get pretty time-intensive, so I would recommend getting a florist.

If you do a 6' garland on each table, it is usually something like $5/foot for garland. (based on my 20-ft staircase garland for $100)

I've been told that garlands, especially all eucalyptus ones are the most expensive.

It depends on your area. I'm in Northern CA and there are thousands of eucalyptus all over the place. Wish I could mail you some!! It has a very strong scent which bothers some people. Is fake an option?

    I second @erin,

I've got a tree I hate dropping crap all over my lawn. Feel free to come take whatever you'd like if you're close to me! lol

Eucalyptus is one of the most expensive greens unfortunately. They run anywhere from 6.50-7.50/foot.

If you only need a few, though- you'll be alright. Try your local floral wholesaler first for pricing.

I am going for the same aesthetic but I think I am going to use loose greenery laid out on the tables and maybe some votives or something simple!

Currently considering eucalyptus (in any of the many variations or perhaps a mix) or maybe olive branches

We went to a very very nice "backyard" wedding a few years ago that used willow branches from the tree they got married under as the table greenery for their round tables and that was gorgeous!
