Eternity bands?

Kathleen , on October 27, 2016 at 11:09 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

It's still pretty early for me but I've started shopping for my wedding band. My engagement ring has a plain platinum band with three stones (see attached) and I want a wedding ring with small diamonds to complement it, either all around or just across the top. I love eternity bands, but my concern is the comfort. Has anyone found that they tend to dig into your adjacent fingers? Or does it not bother you at all? Thanks!

I find them terribly uncomfortable and to be honest, I find them pointless because you can't have them sized and half your diamonds are hidden anyway.

Ok so I never wear ANY jewelry ever.. UNTIL I got engaged. I love my that engagement ring only has diamonds half way down. Now when my husband told me he got that eternity band I was like uhhhhhh oh!! I will say the band IS comfortable when worn with the engagement ring that is not an eternity band because you can barely feel it. If it's worn alone it gets a little annoying because I feel it jabs me a little.

Mine is super comfortable, so it depends on the ring. I don't care that half of the diamonds are hidden, I would be way more bothered by my ring spinning and having to fix it all the time.

I also am having a very hard time matching a ring for mine. (Don't mine my half polished nails lol)

I would think the diamonds underneath would not be seen either.

For my 3 stone ring, I had to do an enhancer... and not all enhancers would work. But that probably in part due to the fact I need it to dip down to accommodate the marquise.

The setting will have a lot to do with comfort also. Mine is channel set, so I don't feel it at all.

I wanted the full eternity band which matches my engagement ring, and that was what we went for. However, the sales girl (yes!), actually talked me into getting diamonds on the top only; stating that you're paying twice as much but only see half. Good point! But I tried on the eternity and I couldn't even feel it.

I am getting 2 eternity bands and my jeweler recommended only getting the top. She said it can be uncomfortable having it on the bottom especially if the diamonds are large and having them on the bottom damages the diamonds. Plus its cheaper to just get the top. Smiley smile Same dates!!!!
