Escort Down the Aisle

I've mentioned in a few posts how I basically have no relationships with either of my parents. Neither of them are invited to my wedding and I fully expect the drama over that to ensue, specifically with my brother and my aunt, but the endgame is to keep the drama OUT of the wedding day lol. So I have no dad to walk me down the aisle. My sister and I used to be extremely close with our grams (mom's side) but she let my mom move into her house (with us) a few years ago and my mom caused all kinds of problems that finally broke the family apart, so my mom still lives with grams, rent free and buying all sorts of lavish items, while my sister rents the downstairs apartment and is trying to get out of debt and get her husband's business to take off so they can get a house. Meanwhile, my mom harasses them all the time, especially when I come over to see them and my nephew. She's a horrible person. I had been planning to ask my grams to walk me down the aisle, but a few months ago she mentioned how she might not attend the wedding if I didn't invite my mom, so I thought she was going to say no. My mom is super horrible to my grams for having a relationship with me.

Well, yesterday was grams' birthday and sis and I took her out. I asked her to walk me down the aisle and she was so happy and said she'd love to !!! I was so relieved. I'm sure my mom will find out so I hope no backlash falls on grams from her, but I'm so happy I love my grams so much, I don't know where I'd be without her!
