Envelopes and Belly Bands

inviteEnvelopes and Belly Bands 1

We decided to go very simple with our wedding invitations. My brother did a watercolor painting of the area that we're getting married. We had that printed on the back. Our RSVP, Accommodations, and directions cards are also simple and white. I don't want to get too boring with it though!

Does anyone have ideas for affordable envelopes OR ideas for what to do with belly bands. I'm not looking for the classic "look on Etsy, pinterest, vistaprint, etc." response. I'm hoping for actual picture examples of what you guys think would look good. Thank you in advance!!!

    We are tying ribbon around ours with a little themed charm instead of a traditional belly band. We also got black envelopes and my fiance embossed them with a design in gold.

    That's great advice! I really like the charm idea... I might steal it (;

    If you wanted to go the belly band route...what are the chances that you could convince your brother (wish I was that talented) to paint something small that coordinates to the back of your invitation? You could DIY your belly band and then attach the logo piece onto the front. You really just need some heavy duty paper and a good cutter.

    I actually went to staples for my envelopes and was able to get them for a good price.

    Question- to me the invitation reads as if you are already married?? Does your FI have two first names or something? I could see if you just kept it to first names, as is it is a bit confusing.

    The watercolor is too cool! What about a wax seal on the outer envelope?

    It's a wedding. (: We are not yet married. None of our friends or family will be confused by the names haha so no worries. It didn't look as nice to include my last name and we're going to be the Millmans soon anyway! I like it best that way. (:

    I'm just popping in to say that I work in the veterinary industry where a "belly band" is a wrap you put around a male dog's male bits to stop them marking in the house and I was QUITE puzzled by this thread title... Smiley laugh

    Definitely change the names. It’s confusing and I would also think this was a vow renewal.

    I'm not changing the names. Although I understand many may be partial to writing both last names or none at all, there are truly no right or wrong answers here. I appreciate your input, but you've gotten way off subject. I was needing advice on the envelopes and bands. Thank you
