Entertainment at a morning wedding reception?

Holly, on January 29, 2020 at 4:57 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7

We are having a morning wedding with a brunch reception. We have gone back and forth on what exactly we should do for entertainment - will people dance if we have a band? Should we just do some kind of background music? We are kind of tight on space and the wedding is in July so we are trying to keep things inside in the AC. Any suggestions would be helpful!

I went to a wedding in october that didn't have any background music or any dancing or any entertainment other than a photobooth and a bar. but in the end it was still fun because people just mingle amongst themselves

Hey! I’m also having a morning wedding/brunch reception. I’m having a DJ because he came with the venue, but music is a big part of my family gatherings. Music is always on in the background and people randomly dance. They are just party people. I think the best option would be what typically works best for your crowd. Are they music/party goers? Is a playlist for background music typically what you and your guest enjoy at other events?

I would provide some kind of entertainment like a band or dj. I think less people will dance at a daytime event but people still will!

I don't think there will be as much dancing but I think music is still a great idea in case anyone wants to.

11am ceremony here! We will have background music, and lawn games during the social hour after the ceremony. I think we are having a picture station or two

I would just do background music. Put together a cd of music you like since the reception that early will be on the shorter side.
