My boyfriend and I are currently looking at engagement rings. I'm not sure when we will be getting engaged exactly, but based on our discussed timelines, I'm thinking sometime in the next few months.
We're currently searching for nice and affordable engagement rings. I would love something that would last, but we also have discussed that this ring might be temporary and we will upgrade later. I was wondering if anyone has had success stories with the modern gents website for an engagement ring. If we go this route it will most likely be a very temporary ring. I've seen great reviews from recent customers, but no long term customer reviews. If not modern gents, are there any places you all would suggest we would look for rings? I'm also 100% fine with a gemstone and not a diamond, I'd honestly prefer not to have a diamond.

    My fiancé just got my ring off of James Allen! It is so beautiful and was in his price rang! Totally check them out.

    We did the temporary and are going to get a new one on and anniversary when we can afford it. We got mine at modern gents. I love it.

    Mine is rose gold and topaz, which is an 8 on mohs scale just below corundum and diamond. We designed it with a local jeweler that knew our budget and so was able to help my fiancé with designing. I LOVE it. Topaz is harder than others, but I still make sure to take it off for gym, household chores and gardening.

    We also shopped at Etsy for a long time, but finally found Darry Ring online store on INS ,and bought my engagement ring. I really like their concept of one ring for the only love! And we got a certificate agreement of true love, which make me heartwarming! We put the certificate in a frame and hung it on our photo wall.

    DO NOT BUY FROM MODERN GENTS UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR RING TARNISHED IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OF THE MOST CAREFUL WEAR (no showers, sleeping, even hand washing with the ring on) their options to “help” were to repair the ring (so I’d likely not have it for my engagement party, or who knows if it’s even the same ring I get back) OR return the ring for a refund- as if my engagement ring has no sentimental value.
