Engagement ring

We had to keep our relationship under wraps for over a year and I personally am over the low key hiding. I have dreamed of having my ring and I wear mine as much as I can without damaging it. This is 100% your choice. Is your fiance ok with this? Have you had the conversation? Just because you wear the ring doesnt mean you have to tell anybody or give details. It's all your choice though. Sorry I'm rambling....coffee hasnt kicked in yet.

The problem is, we come from the Caribbean, he is from Costa Rica, I'm from Puerto Rico, we have most our parents in our homelands. The family that we have here is very.... Annoying lol, they talk behind everyone's backs and they gossip and they are just not fun to be around and not supportive at all. So we just want to have our time, our moment, only us. My sister and parents know and his mother knows but that's about it.
I want to wear my ring but again... That attention, I just don't want.

This is completely up to you. Personally, if I received a beautiful ring set, I would want to wear my e-ring as often as possible, but if you are worried about unwanted attention, then save it for when you're comfortable to start wearing it.

Maybe get a band and just wear that, or just say the engagement ring is a gift he bought you.
I hate attention too, I definitely feel you. I just never brought it up and not many people asked. My ring is my grandmothers so I don't want anything to happen to it, I really just wear it to work.

Also I have two jobs, three different locations where I go and I am mostly filing and doing stuff with my hands and I just dont think is a good idea to wear it to work.

I mean Juelia makes some good rings, if it's a diamond or sapphire nothing should be able to scratch it. My friend is an EMT and wore hers to work so I can't imagine yours would be more fragile or at risk than that!

I don't think you'll get an overwhelming amount of attention, except from close friends or family that want to see it but I think you'd get the same attention for not wearing one if they knew you were engaged.
