She said she's been camping, swimming, showers, cleans house and even sleeps in hers. I usually wear it all day take it off before going to bed. I don't think its a huge deal and my FH also thought my friend/BM advice was a little silly but I am wondering if there is any advice on this topic.

My e-ring is in my avatar it has a stone that sits up high, so I take it off when I am at home but always wear it out. Once I get married, I will wear probably wear my wedding ring on its own sometimes.

I don't believe that it is bad luck. If that were the case there would be a lot more divorces out there. If you are going out all the time and not wearing it that may be bad luck. But no... not wearing it for legit reasons is not bad luck.

I take mine off to show, clean, cook, and bed time. If I left it on all the time I would wreck it or loose it.

I've never heard that. I wear mine most of the time, but take it off when I put on lotion or hand sanitizer, and also to sleep. It's pokey and FH has a few wounds from it, LOL.

I take mine off when I go to bed and then put it back on in the morning after my shower. My husband is an electrician and he takes his wedding band off at work for safety.

The only time I've had to take it off is to clean some blood off of it (hunter!). I don't even take it off to gut a deer. Smiley smile

I have hooks in each bathroom & above the kitchen sink. i take it off to shower, because it turns and gets tangled in my hair. and i take it off to mess with food. i use dish gloves for dishes so that is not a huge issue, but i do typically cook & clean dishes as i do to keep the kitchen sink empty. i sleep it in just fine.

I take mine off occasionally when showering. If I'm baking/cooking and need to get my hands mixed into whatever it is I will take it off. I usually wear it to bed not for any specifically reason other than I just don't think about it to take it off.

When I first got my ring, I'd sleep with it...but I couldn't sleep peacefully because in the back of my head I was scared I'd lose it when I slept. So for peace of mind, my e-ring and now my wedding ring are in the same place when I take it off.

I have never heard of the bad luck. I take my rings off all the time for precaution because I'm sure my husband spent a lot of money on my rings and even if he didn't, I wouldn't want to have to replace them. I never wear it on the beach -- in our honeymoon they were locked in a safe. I don't like to wash dishes with them on, but I have if I'm only washing like one or two things. I never shower with mine nor go swimming in them.

And I no longer sleep with my rings.

I sleep with it. I cook with it, most of the time. I don't do dishes, DH does. I work with it (healthcare/gloves) I rarely take my ring off. Sometimes for hair products.

DH wears his 24-7 besides when he is preg checking cattle, and when he is washing tanks.

I only take mines off when I use Nair because I hate the smell. Other than that I wear it at all time.

I never ever take mines off. Not to shower, or to clean, or to do anything. I just feel extremely wierd without it. I am so afraid of loosing it which is another reason why it never leaves my finger.

I take mine off before bed. It can definitely do some damage while asleep because of how it sits up. But I would wear my band all of the time most likely, just not the e-ring because it's not flat.

I take mine off to sleep, shower, and clean. I typically don't put it on on weekends if I'm not going anywhere. I will also take it off to put lotion on.

I just got engaged, and when I went to show my mom my ring I took it off and she yelled "no! That's bad luck" I told her it would be okay, and she told me not to let anyone try it on if I was showing it because that was even worse. She's very superstitious, but I don't mind taking it off to show people the details around the band. I also have been taking it off to shower. I've had it less than a week, but I always wore gloves to clean and wash dishes (I'm obsessed with my nails lol) so that won't be a change. I don't see anything wrong with taking it off!!
