Engagement Photos

I agree, that you look great in both photos. But if you don't feel that way in the first photo is there any reason you cannot use the second? You could also re shoot the engagement photos if you have the budget (and you can get your fiance to do it twice). Most of us pick ourselves apart, especially in photos. I think the first photo is lovely but if you aren't fond of it I think you should use something else. No need looking at the photo with regret. Just remember the average person feels awkward taking these type of photos because they are posed and most of us aren't models.

*Also I don't see how anyone especially your friends and family could have anything negative to say about the photo.

In my opinion I think both photos overall look great. I do love the second one more. You guys look like you are more comfortable and relaxed. The first one I just think its an awkward pose all together for anyone (but I do like that dress!) I rarely see pictures with that pose that I don't think the couple looks uncomfortable. But I don't think it is a bad picture by any means.

We ended up using a few selfies that we took spur of the moment throughout our relationship. The pro photos look too staged and forced. If you aren't loving them, use pictures you do love or don't use pictures at all.

I totally understand that when you have decided your opinion on something it can be difficult to see beyond it. You look gorgeous in your photos!

Is it within your budget to create new Save The Dates with the photo that you prefer? Do you think you would feel more comfortable sending them out?

I really do think both look great! I thought you were going to say you liked the first outfit better, actually!!

I never feel comfortable any time anyone else takes a photo of me - my selfies all turn out great and I look like a skinny goddess so I'm very hard on myself if anyone takes a picture of me anywhere at any time (because then I always look like a troll peeking out from under a bridge). I purposefully didn't schedule an engagement photo shoot because I knew I wouldn't like any of our photos.

If you really don't think these photos embody your essence, is it possible for you to take some selfies that you'd like better? If not, I will vote for the top photo because I think you look beautiful in it (that dress is stunning!) and your smile is so contagious. It's exactly the kind of photo I would expect to see when I open a save-the-date or engagement announcement. Cheers and good luck with deciding
