We're trying to see where would be a great location in NJ for engagement photos. Somewhere fun and different. Also, possibly indoors as it's been cold. We like the idea of a café. Any others?

Can you check with a museum -- maybe a small one that is flexible to let a photographer session there? A nice hotel would probably be harder to get approved. A (private) library or university maybe could be arranged.

Are studios an option? My friend booked a studio for her wedding photoshoot and the pictures were amazing. It's just better in terms of weather: you don't need to worry about the lightning and it being too bright or too dark. Of course, it could be fixed by your photographer in Photoworks/Photoshop/you name it afterwards, but if the photo is heavily edited it always shows, and going with professional lightning is a safer option.
