Engagement photos w/o a ring

Accidentally posted before done, sorry.
Anyways, there is no engagement ring as i proposed to him. Id like use to have an engagement photoshoot not only to test our potential photographer but also because i think it would be really nice to have some professional pics taken.
But would it be weird with no ring?

You don’t need to do a shoot with a ring! It’s supposed to be about you two and the celebration of starting a new life together. Not about what’s on your finger I don’t think you should be worried!

You do not need a ring. You do not need a ring to be engaged, so why would you need one for engagement photos? Being engaged means that you have agreed to marry one another. If that is true, have your photos done. And congratulations!

Agreed with Becca! Although, are you planning on getting a ring later on or not at all? Regardless, professional pics are nice and getting comfortable with your photographer is great too! You definitely don't need a ring to be engaged, but I think you probably need to be engaged to have an engagement shoot (...which you are!)

I agree with previous posters but if you want a ring just get a cheapy version of ur dream ring i just ordered a $13.00 temp ring so i have somthing to wear when my ring gets resized (just realized my actual ring needs to be cleaned!)

I wouldn't worry about it. In my engagement photos, I think we took maybe 10 out of the 300 photos with my ring being a focal point and honestly I didn't like any of them! My favorites are the ones where we look happy and are having fun, I never even looked for my ring in the pictures.

You don’t need a ring. I went back and checked my engagement photos in most of them you can’t see my ring and we only did 3 photos of the ring itself. Don’t worry just enjoy the pictures.

Why would it be weird? You'd be taking pictures of the two of you, not jewelry.
