I wore two outfits: a red cocktail dress with a black bolero, and a navy gown with sequin cuffs. FH wore slacks and a dress shirt with my navy gown, and with my cocktail dress he wore a suit (without a tie).

We haven't taken ours yet but, we are going out in the middle of clean snow in formal wear. I will be in a red formal dress and red and white winter cape. Since we are having a masquerade ball we will have our masks but I don't think we will be wearing them.

I always suggest wearing something you're comfortable in. You don't have to get all dolled up and fancy, unless you want to (you'll be plenty fancy for wedding photos). I wouldn't recommend something drastically different from your every day style or from an extra nice outfit you'd wear going out for a night. I recommend complimenting colors, and not too many (if any) patterns; solid, bold or neutral colors work well. I also suggest doing your makeup (or having it done) somewhat similar to how you normally wear it. Whatever you choose, you just don't want to be feeling uncomfortable, and you don't want to look back on the photos feeling like you don't look or seem like yourself.

The first pictures, we went formal. I ended up hating them because it felt so stuffy and posed, so I had them redone in October. I wore a black, chiffon cold shoulder top with jeans and ankle boots, and he wore a plaid shirt with jeans and shoes that looked like my boots. They were SO much more us. Wear something you feel comfortable in.

We went dressy casual. Something comfortable but nice.

We did ours on a 90 degree day, I wore a sun dress and a maxi skirt with a cute top. FH wore nice shorts and a polo, he didn't change at all.

Hi Jennifer. If you are at a total loss as to where to start, look through your favorite clothing catalog, specifically the featured lifestyle images. The models will be well coordinated in clothes that you like!

Ours will be in February in NJ, so it'll be pretty cold. I'm wearing a blue flannel with a red vest on top, dark jeans and my brown riding boots. Not sure what FH is wearing yet. Pinterest is always a good place to look for ideas!

Ours were not very formal, I wore a plain dress and wedges for some and a white dress and sandals for others. FH wore jeans and a button up.

We did ours semi-formal and casual. Our photographer told us to grab as many outfits as we could put together and we just played around. This is one of my favorites because all the colors compliment each other so well. Just wear something that reflects you as a couple, like PP's have said, your wedding photos are going to be fancy.

We dressed up a little for ours, but definitely wear what you are comfortable in, and try to dress for the weather. Ours were taken the first week of November and we ended up with perfect weather, but if it had been colder I would have been freezing.

I was given the advice before hand that the less skin you're showing on camera- the better. (This was from a photographer, not my mom or someone that just wanted me to look modest.) But...I like my legs and wanted to feel confident in the pictures, so wore two outfits that were very me that I got to wear heels with, but also, didn't make me worry about sucking in for every photo.

We did ours last weekend and it was cold out so that was something we factored in. But really we just went with nice sweaters.

Both of our outfits were casual because we are just not fancy people.

I wore a cream colored sweater, a long necklace, jeans and high heeled gray booties. This way it matched with everything. My FH wore a colorful blue and purple plaid button up shirt, nice dark jeans, and gray shoes. Hope this helps!
