So, we got engaged eons ago (2019) Being older and this not being our first time around, I never really thought about official engagement photos ...... until last week. We went on a cruise (because life has just been a $hit show and we needed some 'us' time) The photographer on board was AMAZING, and he got such gorgeous pictures that I am going to use them!! So excited.

    Those are great photos! I understand about “life being a **** show” and needing to take some time away. I hope it was a nice escape and I hope life calms down for you guys ASAP! Will you be having a photographer for your wedding? If so, it could be nice to do a mini engagement session anyway with them to get used to their style and to get used to being photographed for a wedding. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

    Thanks everyone for the kind words. We were in Hurricane Ian's path - we had some damage to the house, but since we live in an HOA community we were able to pass along our house key and had it repaired while we were away. My FH mom (99 y.o) passed away a month ago and we've been dealing with relatives that came out of the woodwork when money was scented. So yeah, we needed this time together. AND thank you, Bird, I will be calling our photography team and asking them to do a short session anyway - good suggestion. Shannon, the piano picture is hysterical, because *I* am the one who plays piano - FH plays the guitar and can't read music. The photographer caught me kina laughing at FH because he kept asking me if he was hitting the right keys.
