Engagement photos offered by photographer ....i feel like its a little late in the game

We got married in February but engagement photos were part of the package. Our photographer flew in from Colorado, so when it's safe to travel again, we're going to bring our outfits and do an adventure photoshoot in the mountains and forest 🥰

My photographer explained to me that one of the benefits of engagement photos is getting comfortable with the poses in front of the camera so that things go more smoothly the day of. You can also see what poses you like in the photos. I'd do it!

You should take it. I spoke with a photographer today, and they explained to me that the eshoot comes with my package as well. Supposedly, the eshoot helps the photographer to get familiar with working with you and your husband to be instead of working with you for the first time on the big day. It kind of makes sense - considering how some people could be camera shy. It’ll also help you to see what angles work best for the both of you.

Or she could also offer it to someone else like her friends or family members. My parents never had a wedding they got married downtown and so I'm giving my engagement session to my parents. I figured they can get dressed up nicely and take cute couple photos. Or maybe ask if they would consider taking some money off your bill since you wouldn't need the engagement photos.

I would do it. It might be a little late, but they will still be professional photos of you and your fiance. It will also give you a chance to get to know your photographer and his/her shooting style. This will make things so much easier, for everyone involved, on your actual wedding day!

I would totally do them! It’s a lot of fun and who doesn’t love lots of pictures with your better half! If you like some of them you can even get creative and print some and make a picture collage on a canvas or whatever you like and use it as decor at your wedding.I know I always love seeing pictures of the couple as part of their wedding it tells your story!

I used to do photography long before I was engaged and when the couple didn't want engagement photos I always offered to do portraits for their one year anniversary. I mean, it is a way off but couples seemed to love it.

We declined. Instead of adding something else in, our photographer discounted the package to make up for it. Unless either or both of you are awkward in front of a camera or have never taken photos before, the engagement session isn't needed. Our minimony photos came out beautifully, and they were done by a photographer in another state we met via WW a month prior. A good photographer will make your photos stunning no matter what.


If it's not something you want to do, don't feel pressured. If it is something you want to do, call it a couples session insteas and enjoy!

We went ahead and did it. He really wanted some nice pics of us... I think they could have been better but we were really nervous.

Same.. im like i cvould have doen alot now that i think about it... maybe better wedding pics/ ideas lol
