Hello! I'm getting married May of 2019. I haven't gotten engagement photos done yet because I was really wanting to get them done in the fall. I know you should send out save the dates 6-8 months before the wedding date so would waiting until September/October of this year be okay for the pictures or am I cutting it too close to send out the save the dates on time?

I took mine 7 months before and sent our save the dates two weeks later. Check with your photographer how long it will take to get your photos back (mine took 3 days) and work from there. 😊

I agree I would check with your photographer on how long it will take to get your pictures back. And try to do it early September to have time to design and send out by October.

We took our epics in June 2017, 1 year out and we had them back within 3 weeks.

I’m getting married in May of 2019 and we are waiting to send ours out in the late Fall and having our pictures made in May!

Depending on how long your photographer would take to get the edited pics back to you, this might be cutting it close. I would discuss a timeline with them first and then back up your engagement session based on that. Nothing wrong with getting them done in the beginning of September!

Our date is May 2019 as well. We r having our engagement shoot this May and will sent the save the dates out end of summer.

I agree with getting pictures done in September and sending them out in October you should be alright. Just have a STD picked out from wherever you are getting them from in advance, that way, when you get your pictures back, you can just stick the picture(s) into the template and go!
