Engagement party...yes or no?

I personally don't see the point in them, especially since you guys have already been engaged for over a year. Just doesn't seem necessary.

The general rule around here is that you don't throw yourself a party. I feel like if you wanna just have a party and have friends come and enjoy some drinks and food and not call it an engagement party then go for it.

My sister threw us an engagement party two months after the proposal. I had an amazingggg time with everyone. People are still talking about it. I wouldn't of had it any other way.
