HI ladies, I was hoping that my MOH would throw my engagement party for me but she hasn't said anything about it. i don't think its even on her mind. I think i will have to throw one for my self. cause my parents and FH parents has never met. So i want to get both family together before the wedding...

Thank you guys for your advice, i think i will do a dinner so everyone can get to know each other. i don't know all the duties for the MOH, i'm still learning as i go. WHO THROW THE BRIDAL SHOWER OR IS THAT SOMETHING YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO?

My mom wanted to throw me an engagement party, but FH and I are distance. we won't be having one. As for the bridal shower, that is typically something the MOH organizes, and most of the time gets help from other bridesmaids and the MOB.

Not really supposed to host your own... however, I would go to someone's if they did without judgment.

It's a gift that is no one's duty. If someone feels so inclined to throw one for you, that's very nice of them

We didn't have one but we got engaged at our housewarming so it wasnt really necessary.
