Engagement Excitement

Brandi, on October 5, 2019 at 7:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
So, my wedding is November 2020. I got engaged September 1st 2019 and everything is planned. Everything now is strictly payments except of course, the shower, bachelorette party and buying wedding dress etc. Is it common for the bride and fiancé to lose the excitement since the wedding is so far away?

    Hey lovely!!

speaking from my experience (which will be a 26 month engagement) You’ll burn out a little on the middle, but the closer you get, the more exciting it’ll be!!

I think for wedding planning there's always such a mix of emotions. You get excited, nervous, stressed, etc. So losing excitement is a part of it. It'll pick up again Smiley smile

My fiance and I got engaged April 13, 2019 and our wedding isnt until July 16,2022 because of him graduating from Doctorate of Physical Therapy School. We still watch out engagement video almost every day.

We got engaged April 23 2018, we didn't talk wedding till the beginning of this year. We still didn't have a date, and I was going to look at dresses. He made the comment that we didn't have a date set and I said yes I already have one. April 4th 2020, thankfully our wedding is just our parents only about 5 hours from us in Gatlinburg. It seems like now when I bring stuff up about the wedding he seems to be not interested or just not excited. I've told him a few times that we need to go ahead and book our cabin because things are going to book up. He thinks we still have all the time in the world.

Yes! I am in the middle of planning as well and I had a breakdown in the mist of everything because I was getting so overwhelmed. I’ve just finally come to a mindset thinking that I shouldn’t get too overworked about things and “try” to have fun with it. Try not to stress about it! When everything is said and done, it’s gonna be so worth it.

Yes. I was so excited at first, all the newness of planning. Then came boredom which lead me to find additional projects I didn't know I NEEDED for the wedding. Lol. As of late I've been stressing thinking of all the "what if" scenarios. I'm just ready to see everything come together. Looking back I wish we would've eloped, but my mother would've killed me!!!!!😆 I know it will all be worth it and we will have a wonderful time.
