Engagement Announcements!

Hilary, on December 10, 2019 at 2:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
Hi all! What website did you all use to send engagement announcements? This is specifically for announcing that we are engaged, not a save the date announcement!
Thinking of something cute: Happy Holidays!
We are engaged!
Please let me know!Thank you..As it nears closer to the holidays, I know my options are limited!🧖🏻‍♀️

I would say any Christmas card would work. I personally have never received an engagement announcement.

Who are you sending an engagement announcement to?

If I received a formal engagement announcement I would expect to get invited to the wedding. I would make sure your list is the same as your invite list even if these are not Save the Dates.

I have never heard of sending an engagement announcement. I have seen people include an announcement in the paper or send save the dates or invites to an engagement party, but never just an announcement of an engagement. If you want to do this, I would only send it to people you are 100% inviting to the wedding. My parents, brother, sister, grandparents, my mother-in-law, my brother-in-law and his wife, and my husband's one cousin we at our engagement. My sister-in-law knew we were getting engaged, but she couldn't get off work. My father-in-law is a jerk and really didn't care. So all of the super important people were a witness to me getting engaged so after that we just posted it on Facebook. I personally see no need for announcement cards as I would rather spend the money on something else, but if you have the extra money and want to send them go for it.

I was thinking more of a holiday card... showing one of our pics that we had taken... trying to find a website to use. I think I have found a few!❤️

Oh that makes more sense. I wanted to do a Christmas card this year since we are married now, but my husband thinks that's unnecessary.

We used Zazzle for our save the dates & invites but I know they had announcements too.
