I have been dating my boyfriend for 7 months now and we are totally in love! I have never wanted to get married before and now I'm ready. It will be a total shocker when everyone finds out we are engaged in a Christmas card! We are very big hunters and want to have a card with us in camo with our bows...Has anyone ever done this in a card before??!! Any other ideas??

FH and I didn't mail announcements when we got engaged (December 8, 2012) although my ex-H and I did combine our STDs and Christmas cards. They're you're cards, you can do whatever you want :-)

We kind of did this. We got engaged on December 7th. We used one of the pictures from the evening as our flat Christmas card picture. You know the skinny ones that you can get from CVS...It said "Believe in the Magic of the Season"....which seemed appropriate because engagements are magical.

It certainly wasn't an announcement, but it also helped if for some reason you didn't know. It didn't say "Hey we're engaged" but I was showing off my ring.

Oh you little hunters--love the idea!
we are putting our save the dates in with our christmas cards but oh paris maybe it's bad luck?
i love shooting a bow but not hunting. i am much too lazy for that!

Adorable! Just make sure you tell all the important people before the cats out the bag. One of my family members posted mine of FB before I was able to tell all my close friends and family. I really didn't appreciate my best friend finding out on FB...
