Energy drink sponsorship

Thats, on March 9, 2020 at 9:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
Okay so I know this is the STRANGEST idea ever! But stick with me. I’m having a “midnight” themed wedding so I’m having it later in the afternoon so by reception time it should be dark. everyone loved the idea of a nighttime reception, but we were all worried about everyone being tired, possibly a little grumpy, or WORSE leaving by the time it finally got there. I made the joke that I would probably be the bride walking down the isle with a Red Bull instead of a bouquet. They all joked back and said that that would fix a few problems. (I can’t seem to find a bouquet that I like) But that’s when I got the idea, what if I had an energy drink company sponsor the wedding preferably Red Bull but I would be open to others. Instead of bouquets the whole bridal part would Carry a drink, at the reception I could incorporate Red Bull’s into the center pieces, I could put their logo on the back of the invites..etc... idk is it crazy? Tacky? Too extra? Too controversial? I’ll have a church wedding and the decor will be Navy and shades of dark Purple thoughts? I’m open to it all

My first question is how do you plan on getting a company to “sponsor” your wedding? You expect them to pay for your wedding so that your guests see their product?

I think it sounds tacky and far fetched. A company as big as Red Bull isn’t going to sponsor your wedding. The best you’ll get might be a share on social media.

A lot of companies will sponsor weddings and other special occasions, some have spots on their websites where you can “DM” and request directly through the website, others require an Email and sometimes some convincing...and if they offered (which they won’t) to pay for the wedding I wouldn’t complain, but no, usually companies will choose a portion of the wedding to provide such as flowers, food, drinks, etc... they will have requirements such as “we’ll buy desert if you'll advertise, but we get to choose the deserts.” You won’t have much control at all over the services that they choose to provide, but you also won’t have to pay for it and if I choose to have them sponsor then I obviously trust their opinion or just don’t care about that specific part of the wedding

Many companies like Red Bull have been know to sponsor weddings. Some companies have links on their websites to request a sponsorship. it isn’t far far fetched at all. But it could be tacky which is why I’m asking for other people’s opinions, not criticism.

My only thing is I don’t think it would look subtle enough ? Almost like it sounds like Red Bull logo would be everywhere

I think it’s totally whatever you want to do! But like Melle said it definitely won’t be subtle if you go that route. I love the later wedding idea though, are you doing a bunch of cool lights??

Very true, I have thought of that as well, would it be too overpowering? I wouldn’t want it took look like I was having a Red Bull themed wedding, that would honestly be a little creepy lol, thanks for the input

I’m buying as many lights as I can get my hands on! I’m wanting black lights for the ceremony and fairy lights for the reception, I’ve also considered the pebbles that glow in the dark for pictures, but I don’t know yet....but I agree, I’m worried it will be overpowering and I’ll end up with a Red Bull themed wedding lol

Hmm that's definitely an interesting idea! I'm not sure about the whole sponsorship thing. Buttttttt if you wanna keep the energy drink thing, maybe you could have an energy drink bar/table at your reception?? With a few different options/brands for guests? That could be cool and unique! People do all kinds of cool things like hot chocolate bars or Smores bars! Im having a pancake bar at mine!

That is actually an amazing idea and I LOVE IT! I’m already doing a baked potato bar and a taco bar, so like a “caffeine bar”? I know a lot of people that don’t like energy drinks, but love coffee, I love this idea! Thinks for being so supportive and creative! ❤️🥰
