Emergency Bags - Bride & Groom

CourtneyBrittain, on July 11, 2019 at 3:11 PM Posted in Planning 2 18
Hey all! We are working on putting together a list for our emergency bags. What did you use/what do you plan on using? We will each have one, especially since FH will be getting ready downstairs and across the way.

FOR SURE put safety pins & floss in yours. Those individual flossers are best. I'd also put 1-2 energy drinks & protein bars, spray on deodorant, hair spray, bobby pins, eye drops, q tips, and feminine products in the women's bag. For the men, I'd put hair gel, q tips, energy drinks & protein bars, and mouth wash!

Clear nail polish and a pocket sewing kit just in case! Plus what everyone else said.

The last wedding I was in, the bride's bustle broke and that was the one thing her emergency kit didn't have so now I'm hypersensitive about always having them!

Ah! I should bring a few extra hooks/eyes then. I have a couple of friends at the wedding who are excellent seamstresses so I'm sure in a pinch they could whip one up.

Great idea! Yeah a sewing kit & dress tape are always good to have too. Basically anything to help emergency dress problems haha!

My main stress is that my dress, which is mesh and boning in the back, tears somehow in the back. That'd be nearly unfixable

The good thing is it's usually dark & people are drinking/busy by later in the reception. Not 1 person noticed her bustle broke and we couldn't fix it! It got dirty on the bottom but all she had to do was get it dry cleaned.

That's definitely good! We will be having a dry reception but I'm sure it'd mostly be something I'd notice haha

Deoderant (spray is best for sharing), bandaids, blotting sheets for shiny faces, setting spray (also for shiny faces), small flat iron or curling wand (one of my bridesmaids wound up fixing some flat curls for me right before our first look! Bottles of water and snacks!!! I've been in weddings where water and snacks weren't around and I was MISERABLE. Unless you already have lunch plans, but even then it's nice to have a bit of back up sustenance.
