Eloping

Erin, on September 24, 2020 at 2:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 13
We are officially eloping! My FH has decided he wants to join the Air Force, and because we have a child, we need to be married in order for him to sign any papers. This isn’t a big deal for us, we were planning on getting married anyway, we’ve just had to push the timeline up Smiley smile. We’ll be planning a bigger vow renewal for when he’s done with his training and we move to our first duty station and get situated (it’ll take a year of him being gone DSmiley smile but for right now, it’s been real guys! Good luck Smiley smile

He hasn’t been happy with what he’s been doing (truck driving) so I’m glad he’s finally figured out what will help him find his happiness.

We’re currently waiting to see when/if my parents will be able to get out here. We’re in Colorado and they’re in Vermont so it’ll be tough. We’re hoping he’ll leave around January, so it just needs to be before December. But sooner would obviously be ideal since he can’t sign any paperwork until we’re married.

This is a big life step for him, hope he fonds his niche for lifelong work. My hubby and I each came put of the service with a different focused direction than when we went in. Met after we had been out and in grad school a year each. Because there is no liberal arts thrown in, we each received years more training in our fields than at an outside school, and jave benefitted ever since. Have a long and happy marriage.
