Eloping in Vegas!

Rachel, on July 14, 2015 at 12:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

I'm getting married in 4 days! And I have no idea what I'm doing with my hair, make-up, or the biggie, the dress! We're renting a dress the morning of the wedding. I've never so much as stepped a foot in a bridal store, much less tried any wedding dresses on. I honestly have no idea what to expect. The place has over 500 dresses in stock, so I'm sure I'll find the perfect one. It's just not having one know that's driving me crazy.

What dress I wear will determine how I have my hair and make-up done, I think. But there again, do I want to go for natural/romantic, or for full-on dramatic. I'll be having a Saturday night Vegas wedding after all! Hair up, down, or half-up. And don't even get me started on veils, tiaras, and head-pieces!

So, help, ladies who have been there, done that! (not necessarily the eloping thing, but the dress/make-up/hair stuff!)

We're getting married under a white gazebo wrapped in greenery and twinkling lights on a roof of a chapel downtown.

    I'm 5'3, and a size 16.

I'm a ginger, with red curly/wavy hair, green eyes, fair skin that's kinda ruddy (I burn very easily and don't remember to put sunscreen on every time I leave the house) and a shit-ton of freckles.

I usually wear light, natural make-up, neutral around the eyes, liner on top, light blush, no contouring or bronzer.

Airbrush makeup. Its awesome and gives really great coverage but looks so natural and you can't even feel it!

Exciting! I am eloping as well. I didn't go for a "bridal" dress. I purchased something off the rack on sale, a dress that I had been been stalking for months, knew would fit me perfectly and that I would wear again.

Makeup is a question mark for me too... I don't normally wear much, but I do want to try a subtle smokey eye. I'm going to do some test runs and watch youtube videos and see if I can figure it out, lol. Do you have time in the next 4 days to watch any hair/makeup tutorials, or look for inspiration photos?

Oh, I love the Bellagio! It's beautiful!

Our venue is Vegas Weddings, we're using their terrace gazebo http://www.702wedding.com/outdoor-wedding-chapel-las-vegas.asp

I'm renting a dress from Rose Eren designs, some samples of the dresses they have are at https://www.roseeren.com/Gowns_for_Rent.php

And my hair and make-up are being done by Pampered Brides of Las Vegas, http://pamperedbridesoflasvegas.com/photos/

    Thanks so much!

Concrete, I'm a stay at home mom of 4 ( a 18mo, 6yo, 8yo, and 14yo), so yes and no. It really depends on how well they're behaving, or how clean I want my house to look. Luckily, I'm having my hair and make-up done. I can do my own make-up decently (thanks pinterest!), but I never spend more than 5 minutes on my hair!

And you're really smart for buying a dress you can use again.
