Elopement

Kari, on January 23, 2022 at 3:53 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Hello. Need some advice. My fiancé and I are eloping this May, just him and I, no family no friends, just the two of us. With this being said, would it be appropriate to have a bach party? I'm not expecting someone to organize one, but is it appropriate to have one if we aren't having a normal "wedding"? I figure this is something I would organize myself if appropriate.

We eloped to Hawaii in October (just the two of us) after canceling our bigger wedding plans. Given our change if plans, I felt that we forfeited those other wedding activities and gifts. It was totally fine plus we already planned to have a 1 year anniversary (costume) party since we got married on Halloween.

Absolutely organize one! No reason why not, especially if y'all are planning it.

If you want to organize a bachelorette party to celebrate with your friends, absolutely do it! There’s no requirement for a “big wedding” in order to have a bachelor or bachelorette party- the only requirement is that the person of honor is a bachelor or bachelorette.

I would have a nice intimate dinner afterwards! Maybe 2 weeks after we elope I'd have a nice dinner and wear a cute white or pale pink dinner dress. Smiley smile
