Elopement

We're not taking that route but I think it's super sweet of you to want to wait to have the reception so your brother can be apart of it. I think if you do decide to elope make it something fun and unique for you two. Make it a big deal as possible so you won't feel like you missed out on anything.

My friend eloped and had the ceremony later and it still was very special. They got to read their vows to each other twice and the 2nd time you could just tell that they were super happy to redo the moment but now just with their favorite people. They laughed and smiled the whole way through! Have you thought about just waiting all together? Maybe save up and really get the chance to plan everything out?

We were planning a bigger wedding and then due to FH not having a job anymore, we had to cancel. We're now going with an elopement package offered at our venue but they still allow up to 30 guests.

We are also holding a reception at a different location where we can have up to 150 guests and the package is all inclusive. Definitely cheaper and able to have more guests at the reception than if we were to do a full ceremony and reception at our ceremony venue.

View Quoted Comment I keep thinking about waiting. With the military you never know. Within the past two months, my brothers deployment when he comes back has changed at least 5 times. So there is not a 100% guarantee that if I do change the date to 2021, if my brother will be back from deployment or if he will be on another deployment. I feel clueless here, like I am trying to plan the wedding blindly.

View Quoted Comment Yeah that sucks. Well I'm pretty sure her won't hate you if you do decide to have the wedding. He has one of the best jobs ever but he also knows what comes with that territory. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want you stressing over this and wants you to have your special day whether he can be there or not.
