Wedding prices are based on how many guests, so that’s why elopements are cheaper. It’s up to you on what your vision and budget is.

Sometimes venues offer small wedding packages (20 guests or less). Usually includes the venue for the ceremony, bouquet, officiant and photographer for 1-2 hours then you can treat your guests to a meal on or off-property (if the venue doesn’t have a restaurant). Usually that deal is for Sun-Thur weddings.

A small guest list and all-inclusive deal may be the least expensive and least hassle way to go.

Having done and planned for both slipping can be cheaper depending where you go. Our plan is to do all inclusive resort and do a wedding package there then start our honeymoon. Check out simplyeloped. They have some good packages. Venues can be expensive even for a small wedding. That's what we thought to do for a bit and even a garden could cost in the thousands and some require reception there too.

My coworker had a destination wedding to Hawaii. Only 10 people went (family) and had the ceremony there, then they went to a nice dinner afterwards. She liked it because it was cheaper, prettier, and more low-key.
