Elopement stories

This isn't my story. Friends also decided that an elopement was the right decision for them. One bride found her dress at a thrift store and it was gorgeous! She got her nails done and was already good at doing her own hair and make-up so she did for this as well. She bought some simple flowers as well. The other bride had a nice suit and bought a tie. They asked me to do the wedding down the street from the courthouse in a garden, but many courthouses will have an outdoor space that can be used for weddings. There were no photographers, just the memory of the moment. That was all they wanted. Consider what is important to you and go from there. Even a courthouse wedding can be beautiful without breaking the bank.

Hey Johnnica! If a courthouse ceremony is what you want, then I think it is a great idea. What is most important is that you get to celebrate your relationship and marriage the way you want to.

My brother and sister-in-law eloped and she bought a beautiful blush dress from ASOS! You can absolutely only spend what you are comfortable spending and still look absolutely beautiful!!

We are eloping as well! We are just going to have us two. He will be in a suit and I bought a used dress that I love. I am setting up an appointment at the nearest sephora for makeup and I am going to get my hair done on the way just a blowout with some loose curls. On the way to take pictures I’m stopping at a local grocery store that gets in beautiful local flower bouquets daily. Then off to take pictures in the woods

So I have not eloped yet but I am planning on eloping. I have a wedding dress from a bridal salon, he will be dressed nicely and we will be getting married in a park by an officiant. I didn't want the feel of a courthouse and plus I was able to find a photographer to take pictures for an hour so we can remember the day. (300.00 dollars!! I don't think you can beat that for a professional) We will have two people attending as witnesses.
