Elopement Dress Length

Hi! My fiance and I are planning to elope in September in the mountains. We're hiking to the location and
I can not stand when dresses drag the floor, so I was hoping for a maxi/ankle length dress. I just got my dress back from alterations and now I don't know about the length. I'm worried it's too short and could definitely use some advice! Elopement Dress Length 1

Your dress can be as short or long as you want it to be. Especially something unique as hiking, the last thing you'd want to happen is to trip over your dress. I think it would be perfectly fine and you wouldn't have to worry about it dragging or tearing because it gets caught on any rocks or anything sharp that may be on the ground.

If you want to add a little length, you can have your seamstress add a lace panel all the way around.

I think that’s a perfect length for hiking! Will you be wearing boots the day of? Because those will definitely take up a little more space between the top of the foot and the bottom of the dress. Also, if you are hiking uphill, the back of your dress will hang a little lower - think this length will prevent it from dragging while going uphill.

I think it’s a really cute length. I agree with Chrysta; if you are wearing boots the day of, the dress length will be perfect
