Elope now, party later?

Our wedding is 4/26/20. We haven't officially postponed but I know it's coming. Luckily we got our marriage license already and our officiant is still willing to marry us that day. It would be her, my fiance, me and my two teen daughters. Our photographer is willing to be there. Thoughts:

Do I wear my wedding dress? It has not been altered yet. It does fit, but a button needs to be sewn on and the bustle adjusted for the reception (that could happen later).
We have my daughter's dresses, but they haven't been altered yet either. They don't have shoes or bras yet but we could make do...Their dresses are very long and need to be hemmed. One daughter might need adjustment in the bust.
We have his wedding ring but not mine. (Ordered to the store that is now closed.) Hair and makeup, I have an artist but for this day we would do our own to keep the social distancing.
My FH has a tie we bought but obviously we won't be able to get his tux for that day. I don't think. I also thought of saving the photographer for the big celebration and just wearing a nice dress. What would you do?

It would be really important to me to have my wedding day documented and to also have my wedding ring, but priorities are different depending on the couple. If this is what works for you, you should do it!

Unfortunately, the wedding ring, like many other things, are beyond my control right now! I have a beautiful engagement ring and I can get married without the ring itself. (I would use my engagement ring.)

I am eloping on our original wedding date of 04/09 and rescheduled our celebration to 08/27. I ordered a more simple white dress from LuLu's to wear for the ceremony. I had purchased 2 wedding bands (one for either side of my E ring) so we will wed with one on 04/09 and then put the 2nd one at our celebration on 08/27.

Personally, I would save all of the attire and special moments for the wedding day. I would wear something casual and save the vows and ring exchange for the wedding day, but you should do what you feel is best for you!

If I save the vows for the new wedding day I won't be getting married on 4/26. With covid 19 there is no telling when it could all be rescheduled...and for clarity I am an "older" bride -- will be 41 in July and have 2 teens. We want to try for a baby. I am not wanting to do that unmarried, for multiple reasons.

I am also hoping to be legally married on our original date. I ordered a simple dress from Macy's & reached out to a local photographer to take some pics, assuming there will be no need for social distancing.

I think it would be super cute if you still got married on your original date but if you do plan to have a celebration later on, then i would do as pp said and wear something else for the small elopement

Could you purchase a cheaper option online for the ring? Amazon or blue Nile?

We have decided to elope and then postpone the celebration until it's a safer time for everyone (ours was set for 6/20/20 but with everything I didn't want to chance it). I just ordered a more casual dress from ASOS that should be here in less than a week, since my dress still needs alterations and the chapel train would look out of place at a park. I just ordered his ring from Etsy with engraving for less than $100. We just realized that it was more important for us to finalize our bond and the bigger picture could wait.
