eBay extensions anyone?

Renata, on January 18, 2014 at 9:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

My hair dresser said human hair extension will cost me $250 for clip ins... he said... o renata it's european hair, such good quality not like cheap stuff that falls apart... blah blah. I listened carefully and then purchased remy (human hair) hair extensions on ebay for 35 bux for a 7pc set. I seemed too good to be true but it's only 35 bux. I was wondering if anyone else ordered extensions from ebay and what was your experience with them?

I hear what your saying... Extensions are HELLA expensive. I've gone the cheap route far too many times and got cheap extensions/weaves and they looked a HOT MESS.

If you want GOOD European Hair, your going to have to spend at minimal the $250 that your hair dresser quoted you. TRUST me that it will be WELL worth it. I know its gonna be a beyotch to cough up that kinda money for hair but its WORTH it because it will last.

You don't want your extensions to look like this

I didn't get mine on ebay, but I do have remy extensions. 14" 10piece set was on sale at Sally's for $99 instead of $130. They're really soft and nice.

I technically need them for just that one day. The ones i got a 22" 7pc. I got a lot of stuff from ebay shipped from china and so far I have not been disappointed. I hope this one wont disappoint either. I'll keep you updated.

I've been looking into extensions for my mom. Her hair is short and super fine/thin. I asked my potential wedding day hairstylists about them. They said when buying them, make sure it's real human hair, otherwise they won't be able to use heat on them when styling.

@tiki monkey-buns: Have you seen the jessica simpson extension clips? They are REALLY nice and human hair and I know quite a few girls who swear by them. Maybe you could look into those for your mom? I like that they create fullness.

Im a hairdresser and i refuse to pay alot for extensions i ordered some off ebay but if you have thick hair you really want to get atleast 200g of hair and maybe even another set, I bought some for $70 and then order a set for $35 and sewed them together, and my hair is very thin. They look good, just make sure to baby them and buy a sulfate free shampoo. Here is a pic with them in my hair

I have got 3 different sets of hair extensions from Sally's none of them were over $120 and they have all been great. I didn't use mine everyday, but if you only plan on using them for the one night I don't see any reason to spend $250 on a set you will only use once.

I use Luxy Hair extensions for myself and love them. They are remy human hair and you get a ton of hair my hair stylist usually doesn't use it all lol.

I have tape-ins from Donna Bella and I love them! They are human hair and can be dyed, heat styled, etc but they are super easy to put in, take out and replace! Plus they don't cost a ton.

I used to buy the 100% human hair Sassy's from Sally's. I wore them religiously, for 18 months, and bought a new set about every other month. If my hair has not grown out enough by my last month before the wedding, I am buying the same ones...they are dye-able, too. =)

Personally, I would go with inexpensive, as long as they look like good quality ones. They are only for the one night, right?

I am SO taking mine out the next day or two...I FRIED my hair by wearing them for so long...but I was addicted to them!
