Easy cheap way to do placecards?

mtbny, on June 4, 2010 at 4:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

We're having open seating, but still need to make up a namecard w/ entree choice for each guest to take to his/ her seat. What's the cheapest and easiest way to make these? Is it easy to do them at home on a printer?

Yes!! Staples has these! And there's a template, so you can make copies of it and then practice away until it's just right.

Thanks! However, we don't want to hand-label the name. Is there any easy way to do this on a computer?

An office supply store or someplace like Kinkos may be able to help you print these up.

Yes, i bought mine at michaels and they supply a website with the template on it. You just simply fill it out and print. Super easy

I am with the rest of the ladies on this one; just remember to add a pearl or gem on the card to differentiate whether a guest will have the London broil or the chicken. Be sure to let the venue know which card indicates the meal. You can also print coupons online and use AC Moore & Joann coupons at participating Michaels.

    I love these: http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/10/06/the-eggplants-ribbon-board-placecards/

But, it sounds like you are looking for something simplier and easier Smiley smile And less time consuming. But, I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to do something along these lines.

Mtbny: Yes, all of the ones at staples are ink-jet friendly! The templates are there so you can practice aligning your printer. But they only give you one, so make copies because it takes few tries.

Prestigious - love the idea of different embellishments to identify the food choice. Keeps the cards pretty - and the venue will look amazingly psychic to know what everyone has selected!
